Update on Car Number Three...

Well... It turns out I have a new car! (Okay, not new... Pre-owned) It is a 2001 red Dodge Neon with a moon roof and a few other cool features! I am sooo excited!

I will be posting pictures and editing this post later, so check back!

Car number three!

I got a call for a 2001 Neon for sale and my mom is going to go take a look at it. The lady says it is a nice car with a sunroof and a few other neat things.

We'll see how everything goes and I'll update the car status.

Car number two!

I was happily searching Craigslist.com and found a Ford Contour (1998) for $650.00. The only problem it had was the control pannel no longer worked... So, my mother forced me to call the Ford dealer to find out how much it would cost to fix (Which we never figured out), before getting directions to the house.

To make a long story short, we were the second to call. My mom got the directions and we got to the home, test drove the car, and told them we would buy it. Sadly, the person that called first decided they liked it... and bought it. (We were nice and let them buy it since they called first)

:((( It was good car... But the adventure to find a car continues.

What the car guy told me... Car number One

I put an offer on the car, which was like 1/3 of the price and told him if he was "desperate" to sell it I could give him (a certain amount) cash, and he called me "fuc*** retarded". Haha, I do not blame the guy for thinking I was crazy, but I made it clear that is he was "desperate" to sell it, like he said he was, I had an offer. So... At least I tried! At least I won't regret not putting an offer on the car.

It seems like everyone is sick...

Today I haven't felt the best and it turns out I am sick and I have had a headache for the longest time... I took my Temp. and saw it was around 100... Ick. Kyle is running a fever and is not feeling good at all.

But, this is just a short update...

Take care,
Megan

Future plans

I realize I am not a senior, but I only have a year and a half left until I am graduated. I am not anxious, about graduating and embarking on my new journey, however I wonder how emotionally prepared I am to leave. I have lived away from my parents for over a month, traveled to China without my Family, and have taken short trips without my parents and family... However, this is permanent we are talking about... I am going to have to do things on my own and live by myself... Wow.

So far, my plan is to find an apartment ( I already have an offer already with a friend, which is fantastic! As long as nothing else changes I will be staying there, most likely), Continue to work, Go to Austin Peay to further my education, and... I don't know what else I am supposed to do. Thankfully I have so many awesome friends here (Adult and my age) and a wonderful church. In the end, if all else fails I have a few internships I can perhaps take, which could lead to a potential job...

Anyways, I know I am missing something, however it is too late for me to think.

Pray for me as I seek my Father's (God) direction... =)

Much love,
Megan

Needs and Wants

Oh my... I finally found the Honda Civic of my dreams, a custom and it is oh so beautiful. I have never been so in love with a car in my life and it is $3,000.00 over my poor little budget... My poor, aching broken heart....

Haha, okay... So, I may have exaggerated a bit and I really am not that upset... But, lately I have this strong desire to buy a car.... While having a car is all fine and dandy, it just occurred to me that I was and am being very selfish. (Hum, shocking eh? What a Revelation!)

I have decided that me being selfish is a learning experience of "Needs and Wants" and pretty much I do not need a car, but I do want one... Then, I got to thinking again... What about the missionaries in Mongolia? Don't they actually need a car? I really should be helping others while I can, rather then being selfish and thinking of only myself.
